Origin of the Savannah cat

The Savannah Cat is a feline breed characterized mainly by its spotted fur similar to that of a leopard and which developed thanks to the crossing between the Tabby Cats and African Servals , the latter are wild cats slightly larger than domestic cats and inhabit the savannah, for this reason it was decided to name the Savannah breed.

The breed originated around the 80’s in the United States, specifically in 1986 from the breeder Judee Frank, reason why it is considered a relatively new one.
